‘Sister Wives’: Kody Refuses To Get A Spiritual Divorce From Christine

Not too long ago, Sister Wives stars Christine Brown and Kody Brown announced their split, leaving fans wondering how’d they end their marriage?

Many Sister Wives viewers wondered how Christine Brown and Kody Brown plan to end their spiritual marriage, given that they were never wed legally. Now, a source has shed light on the pair’s spiritual union.

“Kody wouldn’t go through with a ‘spiritual divorce’ from Christine,” an insider told Us Weekly. “He left her on her own to make peace with the separation — it was her and God, not her and Kody.”

How Did Christine Brown and Kody Brown End Their Spiritual Union?

The AUB (Apostolic United Brethren) church has a process that Christine, 49, went through to spiritually separate herself from 53-year-old Kody They were married for nearly 27 years.

“You can leave a marriage in our church,” Christine explained in her confessional during the season 16 finale of Sister Wives. “If it’s a marriage like mine and Kody had, where it’s just a spiritual marriage, then they release you spiritually and you go through them. As far as I’m concerned, that’s just between me and God.”

According to the insider, Kody, and Christine, his third wife, did not have a “formal ceremony at a church.” In fact, the insider claims that he did not “give Christine — or any of his other wives for that matter — the courtesy of going along with [a formal ceremony] since he feels betrayed.”

“[Kody] doesn’t believe in divorce and therefore will not participate in any spiritual divorce ceremonies,” the source added.

  1. If he refuses to abide by even his own church’s tenets, then Christine has no problem. Kody is the ONLY one who believes he has the authority to marry or divorce…to.hell with his church. He not only wants to be boss if the women but boss of the church. RUN LADIES RUN
