Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly prepping to scupper their children Archie and Lili titles with the Netflix show.
For those unaware, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a deal with Netflix shortly after stepping down as senior royals. However, the couple has not released anything on the streaming platform yet.
According to a report by Express, the decision can be attributed to axing Archewell Productions’ first animated series, Pearl amid a wider cost-cutting move
Now, the word on the street is that the Netflix deal could jeopardize Meghan Markle and Harry’s children’s chance of getting titles under King Charles III.
Since Charles is king now, Harry and Meghan’s children automatically become Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex. However, this hasn’t been confirmed yet.
According to some reports, the King is planning a “slimmed down Monarchy.” So, it is currently unclear whether he will award the titles.
A source close to the king said, “it depends a lot on what happens in the coming months, particularly with Harry’s book and their TV show.”
Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir is slated to release later this year. However, details about the publication date are still scarce.
