Meghan Markle celebrated her 40th birthday on August 4. The Royal family just wished her on Instagram on her big day using a 24-hour auto-delete post.
Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton wished Meghan Markle on Instagram with this caption, ”Wishing a happy 40th birthday to the Duchess of Sussex.”
Meghan was wearing a striped Martin Grant Maxi Dress and was sitting next to Prince Harry. Both had lei around their necks. When Prince Harry and Meghan had visited Bondi Beach in Australia in October 2018, they took this picture.

The Lukewarm Birthday Wish
It is very clear from the choice of the picture that Meghan and Prince Harry did not share their recent pictures with the royal family. The fans felt that this kind of Instagram story which will auto-delete after 24 hours clearly shows the cracks in the relationship between the brothers.
The Royal family Instagram account posted a collage of photos that included pictures of Meghan, Harry, and their son Archie. One of the pictures was taken in 2018 with the 95-year-old Queen Elizabeth II smiling with Meghan. During the joint visit of Meghan and the queen to Chester, the Royal family staff had clicked this picture.
However, after 24 hours, the picture was auto-deleted and does not appear in the feed of the Royal family Instagram account anymore. Last year, the Royal family posted a picture from the same trip on Instagram. The picture still exists in the feed.

The CBS Interview
Meghan and the Duke of Sussex had appeared in a CBS interview in March this year. Oprah Winfrey conducted the interview in which Meghan mentioned the Royal Family.
“We never left the family,” she said.
She emphasized that the couple decided only to step down from their professional roles. Meghan was deeply upset because the Royal family did not extend any support when she was pregnant with their son Archie.
She was depressed to the extent that she thought about committing suicide. She was upset with the speculations about the color of the unborn child- “how dark it would be.”
Meghan further added, “We were saying, ‘OK, if this isn’t working for everyone, we’re in a lot of pain, you can’t provide us with the help that we need, we can just take a step back. We can do it in a commonwealth country.’ We suggested New Zealand, South Africa.”
Even though the Royal family did not give any explanation about the cold shoulder they are giving to Prince Harry and Meghan. However, it can be assumed that the interview had a huge role to play in souring the relationships further.
The Cold War between the Brothers
As the world knows, the tension between Prince Harry and the royal family has increased over the last few years. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals in 2020. The couple relocated to California as Meghan was from there.
For the British Royal family, it is shocking that their prince leaves the home country and settles down in a foreign land. It further strained the relationship between Prince Harry and his brother Prince William.
In spite of all these things, Meghan was in a thoughtful mood on her birthday and released a video about supporting women.
