Darcey Silva 90 Day Fiance

Darcey Silva Reveals Why She Did ’90 Day Fiance’

Darcey Silva has revealed how she got on TLC’s hit reality TV show 90 Day Fiance with her former boyfriend Jesse Meester. Her revelation took fans by surprise.

Darcey & Stacey star Darcey Silva was in a relationship with Jesse Meester before she met and got engaged to Georgi Rusev. The reality TV star recently revealed why she decided to be a part of the 90 Day Fiance reality show back in 2017. Before Georgi broke her heart, Jesse and Tom Brooks had already left Darcey down in the dumps.

For those who are unaware, her first reality TV appearance wasn’t on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days season 1. She has also appeared in Million Dollar Matchmaker before The Twin Life with Stacey. This is how she was cast on 90 Day Fiance.

The Twin Life trailer shows that the Darcey & Stacey twins had appeared in a pilot in 2010, featuring their first husbands Frank Bollok and Goran Vasic, and their kids. Aside from that, the Silva sisters filmed two trailers for Darcey and Stacey: Life in the Mirror. Darcey and Stacey also founded a production company Eleventh Entertainment and made a rap comedy film.

Darcey & Stacey

Darcey and Stacey currently own the House of Eleven fashion brand. They show off the clothes from the brand on their 90 Day Fiance spin-off. However, Darcey and Stacey rose to popularity after 90 Day Fiance in 2017, in which the former was with then-boyfriend Jesse from the Netherlands. Stacey caught wind of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days before Darcey, according to The List.

At the time, Stacey was dating now-husband Florian Sukaj. She was bent on starring in 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days but failed to meet the criteria. The show revolves around couples who have not met online but have applied for the international partner’s K-1 visa. Stacey didn’t have the K-1 visa at the time. So, TLC didn’t cast her for that show.

When she decided to put in her application, Darcey was five months into dating Jesse. The casting call “said something like, ‘for couples that haven’t met in person yet, in hopes of future, a longer relationship, engagement…’”

She thought to herself, “Yeah, why not?” and wrote in a letter, got on the show, and “the rest is kind of you-know-what.” Now, Darcey is happy with Bulgarian man Georgi. Do you think he will be the one to who she’ll say “I do?” Let us know in the comments section below.
