After celebrating the latest win amid her restrictive conservatorship battle, Britney Spears has finally hired an attorney named Mathew Rosengart.
“My firm and I are moving aggressively and expeditiously to file a petition to remove Jamie Spears unless he resigns first,” Rosengart said outside the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon.
Rosengart was appointed last week to represent the pop star in court and was adjourned until next week. Monday’s hearing was expected to include various arguments including a money dispute between Spears’ father Jamie Spears and the legal personal guardian, Jodi Montgomery.
Montgomery was all set to demand $50,000 per month for getting private security detail after the singer received death threats last month. On the other hand, Jamie noted that many people connected to Spears’ case have been receiving such threats, and providing security to everyone at this level won’t be possible.
These issues will continue in court next Monday when both sides will appear in the court again.

On Monday, Rosengart told reporters, “One thing that everybody has lost sight of in all the controversy and all the litigation and all of the drama is what is in the best interest of Britney Spears.”
He added, “Can anyone disagree that it is not in the best interest for James Spears to be a co-conservator? The question remains why is he involved.”
