Sister Wives star Kody Brown felt he would seem “unmanly” after his other wives find out Christine was leaving him.
On Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives, Kody Brown deemed Christine’s decision to leave him “injustice.” Moreover, he admitted that he felt it made him seem “unmanly.”
As a result, he wasn’t willing to tell his other wives, Meri, Janelle, and Robyn, about the split. “It feels like just this major injustice that is being done to me and it galls me,” he told cameras during the episode.
Also, he apologized to Christine for being “angry” when she confirmed she was leaving in their initial discussion. “I need to be at a place where I can rejoice about your happiness and your freedom,” Kody told Christine during their conversation.
The duo publicly announced their split in November, and it’s now playing in season 17 of TLC’s hit reality TV show. Christine said she was thankful Kody was “trying to support her.”
Kody, on the other hand, was struggling with the fact that one of his wives is prepping to leave him. “I need some grief counseling or something,” he added. “I can’t let go.”
Kody Wasn’t Looking Forward To Telling His Other Wives About Christine’s Split
However, he later admitted one of the reasons he was having a hard time with Christine’s decision to leave him was that she would end up shattering the Brown family that he worked so hard to build.
Also, he felt announcing his split from Christine to his other wives would affect their perception of him. “I feel unmanly, so I’m not gonna sit and go, ‘Hey, somebody’s leaving me,'” Kody said in an interview.
“I don’t want my other wives to see me as weak. So, I don’t want to talk about it to them.” Christine said she did not want to “burn bridges” with Meri, Janelle, or Robyn.
“I really need you there the first time,” she told Kody. She wanted her sister wives she talked to Kody before announcing their split, according to a report by Insider.
She realized that the other sister wives were going to feel a complicated mix of feelings. “I can’t be their sister wife anymore,” she continued. “I can be their friend.” She noted that she was probably going to stay close to Janelle and “not very close” to Robyn and Meri.
“Am I still a sister wife?” she asked the cameras, adding that “the answer is no.”
