OnePlus is working on a new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 9T, which is expected to release in Q3 2021.
A tip received by NewsByte suggests that the phone will ship with ColorOS 11 and 108 MP HasseBald quad cameras. Regrettably, a previously-surfaced report implies that there will be no Pro model for the new device.
OnePlus launched the 9 series, which is a flagship line-up earlier this year. The lineup introduced the standard OnePlus 9 and also the high-end variant, the OnePlus 9 Pro. In addition to that, a new affordable device called the OnePlus 9R was revealed. OnePlus have released a T version of their flagship devices every year since 2016. So, the OnePlus 9T is expected to launch soon.
What to expect from the OnePlus 9T?
The phone will have a 120Hz Full-HD+ display and is expected to feature a punch-hole design with slim bezels. The rear will have a quad-camera setup. It will likely arrive with a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The device will also come with an under-display fingerprint sensor.
Qualcomm recently announced the Snapdragon 888+ which offers faster clocking speeds when compared to the Snapdragon 888. It was also revealed that the SD888+ will be used by brands like ROG, Xiaomi, Motorola, Vivo, and Honor in the future. OnePlus was not mentioned, so it will probably equip the devices with the Snapdragon 888.
What could be the price of the new device?
No official price has been announced yet, but based on the previous OnePlus lineups, we can expect the new device to start around Rs 45,000.
What is the expected release date?
A new leak suggested that the OnePlus 9T will be launched in China in Q3 of 2021. The T-series of devices are always launched either in September or October, so this marks a shift in the schedule of the usual timeline of the company.
