Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, the daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated her first birthday last weekend.
Lilibet’s birthday was celebrated during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebration. A spokesperson for Meghan and Harry told Town & Country that family and close friends attended a casual backyard picnic to mark the occasion.
Moreover, noted photographer Misan Harriman, who was in attendance with his family, captured an adorable photo of Lilibet. The birthday celebration featured a cake from baker Claire Ptak.
To recap, Claire Ptak made Harry and Meghan’s wedding cake in 2018. Now, Ptak has shared more details about Lilibet’s birthday cake via an Instagram post.
Lilibet’s Birthday Cake Was Made By Claire Ptak
“It was an absolute pleasure to make this special cake last week for Lilibet’s birthday. Wishing her a very happy year ahead!” Ptak wrote.

According to the baker, the inside of the cake was elderflower cake and Amalfi lemon. Moreover, she replaced plain buttercream with strawberry buttercream to make it special for the birthday girl.

Further, she decorated the cake with a special orange banner that read “Lilibet.” The cake also had flowers on it. Notably, a lemon elderflower cake was an unconventional choice for Meghan and Harry’s Windsor Castle reception.
Claire Ptak Had Made Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Wedding Cake
Most royal wedding cakes are ideally fruit cakes. Ptak was raised in California and moved to London just like Meghan. The former Suits actress had interviewed Ptak for her website, The Tig.
“Kinda excited to announce this one!!” Ptak wrote after the royal wedding cake was unveiled. “Violet has been chosen to make the wedding cake for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
