Currently, an investigation is going on the show of Ellen DeGeneres, employees came forward and said they have experienced fear, intimidation, and racism while working on DeGeneres show.
Katy Perry had also shown her support previously by tweeting on twitter, in her earlier fourth month of pregnancy and now also the thirty-five year reiterated support Ellen when employees from NBC talk show kept allegations of the toxic work environment. The pop star Perry spoke to LA Times, defending her sixty-two-year-old friend and said “not everyone is going to agree with me.”
“I started that tweet off not undermining anyone else’s experience. I wanted to only speak from my own experience. I have over 100 million people that follow me on Twitter, so not everyone is going to agree with me. And I’m not here to make everyone agree with me,” Perry said.
At the beginning of August, She had “positive takeaways” as the songstress was on twitter from the interaction she had with the star of TV and her crew.
“I know I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience besides my own but I want to acknowledge that I have only ever had positive takeaways from my time with Ellen & on the @theellenshow. I think we all have witnessed the light & continual fight for equality that she has brought to the world through her platform for decades. The polo player Scooter Braun and Nacho Figueras with Portia de Rossi and many more celebrities with Katy are in support of Ellen. Portia de Rossi could not keep any more silent and spoke over the scandal of Ellen’s workplace.
Portia de Rossi showed her support and expressed her thoughts on twitter. It is really unfortunate to see many other celebs like Bachelor’s Corinne Olympios, actor Brad Garrett, Lea Thompson, and many others, ganged up claiming that Ellen can be “cold”.
In the month an investigation was created internally by the parent company of Ellen’s Show, Warner Maida. The employees said they felt a toxic working environment on Ellen’s talk show.
The staff also made some bombshell accusations early in July, claiming they were fired from their jobs because they had to take bereavement days or medical leaves. They also went ahead by saying they were informed by their managers, not to speak directly with Ellen if they see her at the office.
Ellen wrote an apology letter to the staff but few didn’t accept it saying they don’t believe that she can truly be sorry. It began to trend on twitter with the # tag of replacing Ellen (#ReplaceEllen) and few suggestions, that who should take over the actress like Wanda Sykes and Tiffany Haddish.
