Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are understandably concerned about their safety in Britain, according to a royal commentator.

Talking to Express.co.uk, Richard Fitzwilliams revealed that Harry “undoubtedly needs protection” for him, as well as his wife Meghan Markle, and two children while visiting the UK. Fitzwilliams attributed this to Harry’s position and history.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Are Concerned For Safety In Britain

“The Duke of Sussex’s concerns for safety are vindicated as one of the teenagers, called neo-Nazis, jailed for inciting terror attacks on the Duke and other targets has now been released,” Fitzwilliams explained.

Meanwhile, Harry had admitted that he can’t bring the family to the UK citing the danger involved due to the lack of police protection. Much to his chagrin, the Home Office did not allow Harry to personally pay for the security while visiting Britain.

As a result, he filed a claim for a judicial review against the Home Office. “In a world where there are numerous examples of terror and extremism, a two-time veteran of Afghanistan who has been threatened by extremists, undoubtedly needs protection for himself and his family,” Fitzwilliams added.

“A case in Britain in June 2019, where one of the neo-Nazis sentenced who threatened Harry, would have already been released, highlights the concern he obviously feels.”

Another expert referred to Harry’s 10-year-long service for the UK’s army. The expert stated that Harry regularly put his life on the line for Britain in Afghanistan. Aside from that, he “now wants to make sure he can protect his family and kids.”
