“Sister Wives” star Robyn got emotional as she opened up about COVID-19 impact on the family.

“I understand what Kody was wanting to do,” Robyn told EOnline Friday. “And I understand what Janelle and Christine were about, but at the same time I was like why couldn’t we have meshed those two? I just felt like this is the family culture that we have built and we’re destroying that.”

Sukyana Krishnan, who hosted the interview, asked, “So you felt like them not being able to come to a solution, where we can bring everyone together, was in a way, destroying what you had created as a plural family?”

“In the beginning I didn’t think of it that way,” Robyn said. “I was thinking this will go away eventually, but you know, how far are we into it and it still hasn’t stopped.”

During the interview, Robyn got emotional as she spoke about the family’s unity amid the pandemic. “It’s just painful,” she said. “It felt like the family group and the unity, all of that stuff, just got thrown out of the window because of the virus.”

“It really surprised me and shocked me,” she added. “It’s really been disturbing.”

Robyn also noted that the pandemic made them realize the issues that were already existing. “I feel like it basically took that rug that we were shoving everything under and just everything was shown.”

Robyn’s comments came one day after Kody said, he doesn’t feel safe with Meri anymore following Christine’s split.

“There’s a point where intimacy is just damaged. It’s misleading to have intimacy in a relationship where there is no real safety, I’m not going there,” Kody told an outlet. Krishnan, who hosted the interview asked, “You’re telling me that you don’t feel safe with Meri?”

He replied, “No, and I never will again. I will be her friend, I will do what I can to protect her. I will build a house for her out on Coyote pass, but I’m never going to feel safe in an intimate place.”
