90 Day Fiance: The Other Way: Jenny Slatten is worried that she’ll have to leave India due to Sumit’s pending divorce.

Sumit and Jenny wanted to tie the knot but Sumit’s impending separation from his ex-wife caused hindrance to their marriage plans. Sumit was coerced into an arranged marriage by his parents. So now Sumit wants to marry Jenny so he has to divorce his wife first. But the separation isn’t as easy as it seems. Sumit’s wife’s family demanded $20,000 from him.

Sumit and his family agreed to pay the amount but the pending criminal charges against him delayed the process. Later, a judge dropped the charges against Sumit but said that he had to pay $20,000 to his wife’s family for the separation.

Earlier this season, Sumit’s parents rejected their relationship due to the age difference. However, he endeavored to persuade his parents to accept the relationship.

Sumit said that post-divorce, he will make sure that his parents don’t add any complications to his and Jenny’s marriage. Jenny had previously said that she came to India on a 6-month visit visa. Once that visa expires, she’ll be forced to leave the country.

Jenny came to India hoping to marry Sumit within that 6-month time frame. But because of his divorce and parental rejection, she’s worried she’ll be forced to leave. Jenny said that she was excited when she got the news that Sumit’s criminal charges have been dropped.

“I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. But the clock is ticking, and time is running out. So, this divorce needs to hurry up and get finalized before my visa expires.” Only time will tell about their marriage. 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way airs on TLC Sundays at 8:00 p.m. Watch this space for the latest 90 Day Fiance news.
