90 Day Fiance: While things between Asuelu and Kalani aren’t easy at the moment, they haven’t forgotten the good times.
Monday’s series premiere of 90 Day Fiancé: HEA Strikes Back!, will feature couples from Happily Ever After? franchise getting a chance to re-watch their journey, share life updates, and respond to their fans. In an exclusive sneak peek at the premiere, Asuelo,24, and Kalani,31, recall some of their memories together, which are in stark contrast to their unsteady relationship currently playing out on the Happily Ever After? season 5 Tell All.
The clip begins with old footage of Kalani picking Asuelo up from work at the frozen yogurt shop. He tells her that the sample of the day was chocolate, and hopes it does not upset his stomach. But much to Asuelo’s chagrin, it did.
In the present day, the couple laughs as they recall the experience. The next footage shows them on vacation in Asuelu’s home country, Samoa, with Kalani sporting a tropical flower behind her ear. “The part where I have the red flower in my ear, that was like, right after we had sex for the first time,” she says with a giggle.
“Do you remember that?” she asked Asuelu about picking her up from the airport. They stayed at the hotel that was a few minutes from the airport, messed around, and then as they walked out of the room, she saw a beautiful bush of flowers. Kalani plucked a flower, put it behind her ear.
The upcoming retrospective episode comes after a stormy season for the couple, who share sons Oliver and Kennedy. Life hasn’t been easy with two kids under 2 years old, and their relationship has been affected.
The pair have struggled to get on the same page, and Kalani’s family has accused Asuelu of not doing enough to support her and their children. After learning that Aseulu was missing his family, they planned to reconnect with some of his family members, but that led to more issues.
The series premiere of HEA Strikes Back! airs Monday on TLC at 9 p.m. ET, immediately after the concluding installment of the Happily Ever After? season 5 Tell All, which airs at 8 p.m. ET.
