Sister Wives star Kody Brown isn’t talking to his and Janelle Brown’s sons Gabriel Brown and Garrison Brown. Here’s why.
Kodey Brown is struggling to make his relationship with his and Janelle Brown’s sons Gabriel Brown and Garrison Brown work. Things seems to be getting worse between the trio after an argument over the family’s strict COVID-19 rules.
Kody Opens Up About His Relationship With His Sons
In a sneak peek of the Sunday, Feb. 6, episode of Sister Wives: One on One, Kody admitted, “[We’re] not good. Not talking.”
“It’s like one of those relationships where we’ve gotta do a lot of work,” the 52-year-old reality TV star adds.
The second part of the One on One tell-all special revolves around Kody opening up to host Sukanya Krishnan about how fractured his relationships with Garrison, 23, and Gabe, 21, have become.
Moreover, it all started when Kody warned the boys about their social lives amid the still-raging coronavirus pandemic.
“I make rules, you guys abide by them.” He added, “I understand that these two needed their social lives. I totally get it. But in this case, COVID is different,” Kody says in the clip.
Referring to what went wrong, the Wyoming native says, “It’s changed everything for everybody, and they want it all to be the same.”
Why Does Kody Want His Sons To Follow Strict COVID-19 Rules
Furthermore, Kody says his two youngest boys do not realize that it is imperative for them to stop going out with friends so that he could visit their family.
“They need to realize that they should go and date that girlfriend, that’s fine, but you need to move out of the house so I can be home,” Kody adds.
To recall, Kody warns that if Gabe continues to see his girlfriend, he’d be isolated from all of Janelle’s kids because he could end up spreading the virus from house to house, in the January episode of Sister Wives.
“The real issue here is, you had to choose between me coming over or seeing your girlfriend,” Kody tells his son in the January 16 episode. “Why? Why was I made to make that decision?” Gabe says, accusing his family of being “so focused on being right that this is ruining my family.”
During Sunday’s tell-all, Kody says he still feels like he did not get respect from his boys in Janelle’s home. As a result, there have been major issues between him and his sons.
“We need therapy. I need a sit-down with my boys and get something straight,” Kody says to Krishnan. “I’ve gotten to the point where I’m so angry about what happened that we’re not communicating. And I think they are too.”
Kody is spiritually married to Janelle and Meri Brown. Aside from that, he is legally wed to Robyn Brown. He announced his separation from wife Christine Brown in November last year.
