Several episodes of the final season of Shameless have already aired, but fans are still wondering which old characters are likely to make their appearances again.
Viewers of Shameless have witnessed Gallagher kids growing up, making mistakes, and doing what it takes to survive, however, Frank somehow always ends up being in the middle of it. Despite his shabby parenting skills and trademark schemes, Frank has proven that he has a conscience.
As the series releases its concluding episodes this season, some fans think the Gallaghers’ patriarch isn’t likely to receive a story that continues as is. A slew of other viewers believes he will wind up with a serious medical condition in the concluding run of the hit series.
It is no secret that Frank is addicted to drugs and alcohol, and viewers have seen his habitual liking for lying and scheming. Frank seemed like he was at death’s door in season 4 when he had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance after he deteriorated. Much to his relief, he bumped up the donor list for a liver.
Following his recovery, Frank goes back to his old ways, but season 11 may have something else in store for him. The showrunners have already revealed that someone in the Gallagher family will contract COVID-19, but there’s a theory about Frank’s fate that’s garnering popularity among viewers. Some Twitteratis suggest Frank will die before the season comes to an end.

Based on Frank’s actions in episode 3, some viewers suggest he is showing signs of dementia. As Frank and Franny explore the town, he struggled with remembering the name of her school and how to get there. At the end of the episode, Frank’s facial expression looked concerned.
There was another scene, wherein after getting a tattoo, Frank and Franny were lost and he asked where they were. Frank seemed to have lost his sense of time, place, and identity. He had a sweet moment with Franny at the end, but it remains to be seen whether or not the story will have a sad conclusion.
During these past eleven seasons, Frank found ways to captivate viewers and gain empathy. If something happens to Frank, viewers can expect to see Fiona or Sheila’s return to say a final farewell to her father.
