Actor-Director-Producer Thiagarajan is all set to direct remake of Bollywood movie “Special 26” in all four languages of south i.e. Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam & Kannada.

Thiagarajan has purchased rights from Viacom18 Motion Pictures, he also purchased rights of “Queen”. Thiagarajan says he has a golden opportunity to remake a movie like Special 26 in all four languages.

Bollywood movie “Special 26” is based on real incidents of real life cons (group) who have pulled off many robberies cleverly in 1980s. They have robbed politicians and famous businessmen by pretending to be an Income Tax Officers or CBI.

This movie starred Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee and Anupam Kher which was not only critical acclaimed but also did well at box office.

Actor Prashanth will be seen stepping into Akshay Kumar’s shoes, while Prakash Raj will be playing Manoj Bajpayee’s role (cop). Anupam Kher’s part will be played by Satyaraj and other cast includes Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, Nasser, Shyaji Shinde, MS Baaskar and Thulasi.

Since last few years we have been watching Akshay Kumar in South remakes, it will be interesting to see his movie being remake in South (all four languages).
