Meghan Markle showed off a sisterly bond with Kate Middleton recently by imitating her.

While Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s relationship seem shaky of the surface, an expert claims the reality could be quite different. Body language expert Tracie Brown pointed out that old photographs show the Duchess of Sussex admiring and looking up to Kate Middleton when she was still a working royal.

“[Meghan was] looking to Kate for direction – maybe [seeking] permission to laugh or behave a certain way?” Brown told Elite Daily in 2018. According to her, the regular glances that the former Suits actress made at Prince William’s wife signified that she admired her quite a lot.

Body language expert Blanca Cobb went on to claim that Meghan and Kate often behaved like sisters when they were together, as far as mannerism is concerned. “Meghan shows a sisterly bond with Kate in the ways their body language mirrors each other. Notice the similar hand clasp on the lap as Meghan is looking at Kate,” she said.

Another renowned body language expert Lisa Mitchell said Meghan’s confidence lacked while she was involved directly with the royal family before she and Prince Harry tied the knot. “She’s more prone to have a ‘respectful distance’ between her and whoever she’s interacting with in the family,” she said.

“More gestures, covering her mouth a bit as she laughs and a genuine smile on her face during the encounters,” Mitchell added. Moreover, Brown revealed that Meghan and Queen Elizabeth’s relationship wasn’t too good as seen in their chirpy outer demeanor.
