Kylie Jenner took to Instagram Story on Thursday to encourage her fans for supporting a celebrity makeup artist, Samuel Rauda on GoFundMe, which was set by Rauda’s family. However, the crowdfunding campaign didn’t go as per the Kylie Cosmetics founder’s plan.
“May God watch over you and protect you @makeupbysamuel,” Jenner wrote with a black-and-white photo of Rauda. “Everyone take a moment to say a prayer for Sam who got into an accident this past weekend. And swipe up to visit his families (sic) go fund me.”

“Kylie Jenner really asked us for money like we made the Forbes list,” wrote incredulous Twitter user xoraveen.
“Her makeup artist apparently needs $60k. Kylie Jenner paying that would be like someone with $100k net worth sparing $6.72 to pay off a friend’s medical bills,” writer Charlotte Clymer said on Twitter. “In other words, paying off her friend’s medical bills would be like a buying a premium latte for Jenner.”
Of the $5,000 donation, Clymer added, “Her net worth is $900M. So, that’s 0.000006% of her net worth. If your net worth were, say, $100k, it would be like donating 56 cents.”
Rauda’s expense fund surpassed its initial fundraising goal of $10,000. The GoFundMe page is currently close to $100,000 with a revised $120,000 goal. For more updates, keep watching this space.
