Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle both might have several reasons for not being friendly with each other. However, the newly dropped book, “Our King: Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed” disclosed why Kate resents Meghan over Queen.
“The King said it was only for the children and grandchildren to be with the Queen,” as per book’s author Robert Jobson, MercuryNews reported. “Privately, he wanted to say Meghan was not welcome. But he couldn’t say that to Harry so he personally intervened and asked Kate to stay back so that it was fairer on Meghan.”
While Kate stayed back in order to obey her father-in-law, she did built-up resentment. “[She] wanted to be there with the Queen,” Jobson added.
Kate Middleton is married to Prince William, who is second in line to the British throne, while Meghan is married to Prince Harry, who is sixth in line to the throne. There have been various media reports about the relationship between Kate and Meghan over the years. While some reports have suggested that they get along well, others have suggested that there may be tensions between them.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, Meghan spoke about her relationship with Kate, saying that reports of her making Kate cry before her wedding to Harry were inaccurate and that it was actually the other way around. Meghan also said that Kate apologized and sent her flowers, and that she had forgiven her.
