From January the comedy dose which we use to get twice a week will be air only once a week. The reason behind this is Kapil Sharma needs to focus on his films.
These things started since Kapil was singed for a big banner and Kapil requested the channel to make the show once a week but channel denied however soon after, Kapil was replaced by Riteish Deshmukh and the show continued to on air twice a week.
But now, Kapil has been singed for Abbas-Mustan’s film and has two offers from Kabir Khan and David Dhawan, he has given an ultimatum to the channel to make the show weekly or there will be no-show for at-least four months.
In an interview to Mumbai Mirror (27th Feb) the actor admitted the pressure he feels regarding his work: “Having a show twice a week is too much of pressure. Besides hosting the show, I am also the show’s producer and involved with each and every creative aspect. So I can’t let the quality fall.”
So finally Kapil has said broadcasters that if they wont listen to him he would stop shooting and show will go off air. According to a report, creative directors of comedy nights with kapil are planning to introduce (add) new characters to the show from next year onwards. Not only characters but Kapil’s home (set) could also change too.
