Ed Sheeran Becomes A Dad, Welcomes A Baby Girl With Cherry SeabornEd Sheeran welcomed a baby girl and named her Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran. The 29-year-old singer shares the baby with his wife, Cherry Seaborn. The couple kept the pregnancy completely secret while Sheeran informed his fans on Sept. 1 that he had a baby.

“Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you… Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran. We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back, Ed x,” he wrote on Instagram.

Sheeran has been notoriously private as in July 2019 he informed that he was married to Seaborn. In 2018, he announced that “Got myself a fiancé just before new year, we are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.”

The GRAMMY winner has been vocal about his wish to become a father in the past. In a 2017 interview with Zane Lowe for Beats 1 and Apple Music, he enthusiastically said yes when he was asked about being a dad.

“I wanted to be a dad, like, last year,” he said. “I’m ready, let’s go — tour bus babies, little fat, chubby babies that just walk around.”

“When they hit four or five and start primary school, I’m just out,” he said. “I think [Bruce] Springsteen took an extended break when his kids went to school. I think that’s going to be me. I want to set up a little studio in the countryside and have new artists come down.”

We wish the couple a healthy and blessed life ahead. For more updates, keep watching this space.
