Bandra: Mumbai Family Court has started again and to check the spread of ongoing coronavirus infections, there is an arrangement for antigen tests. The principal judge issued a circular to inform that the facility is available for litigants and lawyers entering the premises of the family court.
While the court is following the standard procedures to operate the premises during coronavirus, tests were first kept mandatory. Although later the rule changed and now lawyers and litigants can volunteer to come forward and get their testing procedures done.
A counter for testing will be set-up on the ground floor by the civic body of the building. There will be free COVID-19 tests provided including RT-CPT at a total of 244 places of various hospitals and dispensaries that falls under the jurisdiction of BMC.
The facility is available at more than 300 places all over Mumbai. However, a person can always dial 1916, which is a helpline number. “With this, citizens of Mumbai can easily and freely get their COVID-19 tests done,” the release said.
“The total number of places where covid related medical testing facilities are available in the BMC area has increased to more than 300 and more options have been made available to Mumbaikars to undergo COVID medical tests. This will help in increasing the number of tests as well as timely diagnosis,” said the BMC.
