The seventh International Day of Yoga was celebrated in India virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic. Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that helps you maintain physical and mental well-being, and it is now garnering popularity in other countries as well.
Yoga is even more important as people around the world face unprecedented health challenges amid the still raging pandemic. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had proposed marking the day as the International Day of Yoga during his address at the UN General Assembly, and 175 member states endorsed the proposal.

United Nations recognized June 21 as the day to celebrate Yoga. On Monday, Sumit took to his Instagram account to post a series of pictures from his yoga sessions. “Happy international yoga day,” he captioned the pictures.
