90 Day Fiance star Sumit Singh’s mother Sahna says she wants to move in with her son and his American fiancee Jenny Slatten.
Sumit Singh, 33, and Jenny Slatten, 63, have been planning their marriage for quite some time now. However, his parents, Anil and Sahna aren’t willing to accept the American meemaw as their daughter-in-law due to the significant age gap between her and their son.
An exclusive sneak peek at Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, shared by PEOPLE shows Sumit’s mom telling the couple that she wants to move in with them. Sahna claims that she wants to teach Jenny how to be a traditional Indian daughter-in-law before she permits them to tie the knot.
“Marriage can’t just take place right now,” Sahna insists. She said, “I see what Indian brides are meant to be like, right? I will be teaching her that.”
“I want for our entire family to live together,” she tells her son during a family therapy session organized by her son to help his parents “calm down.” Moreover, the therapy session focused on trying to make Anil and Sahna understand their son’s relationship with Jenny.
Jenny Reacts To Sahna’s Proposition
During a confessional, Jenny revealed what she feels about the proposal. “When I hear that Sumit’s parents want to move in with us, my first thought is no, and not just no, but hell no,” says Jenny.
Sahna, on the other hand, claims that she wants to live with her son “because I have an attachment to him, and Sumit is very attached to me.”
“We cannot let go of Sumit, absolutely not,” she adds. “So we will live with him.”
“They are giving me a chance to prove you deserve me, I deserve you,” Sumit assures Jenny. He tells his parents that he is happy that they are giving him the opportunity.
“I’m shocked and I’m very nervous too, he said. “Because my mom might be having wrong intentions to create trouble for me and Jenny,” Sumit added. “but I do think that this is a positive sign,” he admits.
Meanwhile, Jenny’s visa has been extended due to the pandemic. However, she needs to marry Sumit soon to stay in India. 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way airs Sundays (8 p.m. ET) on TLC.
