’90 Day Fiance’: Brandon Draws Flak For Mocking Julia’s English Skills

Much to the chagrin of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? viewers, Brandon Gibbs made fun of Julia Trubkina’s English skills.

Brandon has been losing credibility over how he treats Julia on some of the recently aired 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? episodes. During season 8 of TLC’s reality TV show, he was accused of being a mama’s boy.

Fans are now calling him out for being even more unreasonable after marrying Julia, who is also annoyed viewers with her insecurity during the couple’s Las Vegas vacation. She earned sympathy due to Brandon’s spineless behavior.

Brandon continues to draw flak for not leaving his parent’s farm. On top of that, he is discouraging his wife by mocking the Russian girl’s English skills.

When Julia revealed that she wanted to live in Las Vegas, Brandon rudely replied to her saying, “this isn’t real life.” He even asked Julia if she had a hidden source of income.

In the 90 Day Fiance spin-off episode 2, when starry-eyed Julia said she wants to work as a wedding planner after getting a green card, Brandon tried to discourage her claiming she lacked the “correct English skills.”

Rather than trying to help Julia learn and write the language, Brandon compared her to a native English speaker. He said Julia would end up destroying someone’s wedding because of her not speaking English well.

What according to Brandon was being “realistic,” made him even more of a villain for fans. “I hate people like Brandon,,” a fan tweeted.

The fan described Brandon as someone who is “content with mediocrity and wants the people around him to want the same. It’s hard to watch him limit Julia and her abilities due to his lack of ambition.”

The comments section was soon flooded with reactions to Brandon’s unsupportive behavior. “I hate him so much. Gosh. All her dreams are realistic and reasonable,” one fan wrote.

“He really said “you wanna be a wedding planner or interior designer?! Impossible!”

“Brandon. His mother and his father are losers.”

Some fans supported Brandon’s views, with one claiming, “I’m with Brandon on this one.” The user went on to suggest that she has a “distorted and unrealistic perception of life here in America.”

“Moving to a large city with no career and minimal funds is dumb. “
