Vijay Deverakonda made a bold move for the upcoming film’s new poster. Liger seems to have all the elements of a blockbuster movie. Vijay Deverakonda Adopts An Unparalleled Avatar

Vijay took MMA training to do full justice to the role of a boxer in Liger. Morever, the actor transformed physically for the role. He trained for six hours a day, as per a report by IndiaToday. 

He opened up about his preparation for Liger in an interview last year. “Liger has been one of my most challenging films. It has been an intense workout schedule, and my body is no more like it used to be; it is now a body of a fighter,” he said.

“The regimen has now become a part of my lifestyle and I’m enjoying it. I’ve been dedicated to this film for about two years. I wanted to do it the second I heard the story and I decided that I wanted India to see the best version of this story possible. When I take something on, I go all in and that is exactly what I have done with this film too,” the actor added.

Also, Liger marks Vijay’s foray into Hindi movies.

Mike Tyson Makes A Cameo Appearance

Boxing legend Mike Tyson has made a cameo in Liger. Moreover, an insider claims that the movie could have a special reference to the infamous ear-biting moment from his 1997 fight with Evander Holyfield.

“Mike is still talked-about for that moment which is one of the most controversial fights in boxing history. His cameo in Liger is a huge deal for the makers and there is talk that they might include a reference to the ear-biting episode in the film as well,” the insider said.

Puri Jagannadh is second to no one when it comes to direction. The word on the street is that Vijay Deverakonda chose Jagannadh for Liger. The duo will be teaming up for another action-packed film JGM.

The Dear Comrade actor told IndiaToday: “Puri sir is the original gangster. Whatever you saw in Wanted and Simmba, he is the original man behind it. Now, he is getting in (here) and the film will be hard hitting.” Liger is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur, and Puri Jagannadh.

Ananya Panday Makes Her Debut In Telugu Films

Ananya Panday will be making her Telugu film debut with Liger. She will be seen opposite Vijay Deverakonda. Vijay said, “She’s a great co-star and she’s done a splendid job in the film. Everyone is going to love her performance when they watch Liger.”

Aside from the young actress, Liger stars Abdul Quadir Amin, Getup Srinu, Makarand Deshpande, Ali Basha, Ronit Roy, and Ramya Krishnan.

Music By Tanishk Bagchi & Azeem Dayani

Tanishk Bagchi have given music for Liger and Azeem Dayani serves as music supervisor. Sunil Kashyap is responsible for background score. So, the film’s soundtrack is highly likely to win hearts. Also, Vijay Deverakonda will be further enhancing the music videos with his dance moves.
